Gladwin High School has a new banner to hang after being designated a MI HEARTSafe School. The staff worked with MyMichigan Health and local first responders to prepare a plan of action in the event of a medical emergency.

Gladwin High School has been awarded the MI HEARTSafe School designation by the Michigan Alliance for Prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death of the Young.
Gladwin is unique among most schools in the region and received the designation by putting together a written cardiac emergency response plan, providing maintained and inspected AEDs and completing a cardiac emergency response drill.
