GAFT’s The Curious Savage a success

GLADWIN

Beaverton’s Kim Shea was a tourde- force as Mrs. Savage in Gladwin Area Friends of the Theatre’s (GAFT) The Curious Savage, held last weekend to three packed shows. Having portrayed the same role at Beaverton High School in 1980, Shea played the somewhat eccentric Ethel Savage, 45 years later with charm and poise, along with ten other cast members under the direction of Al Hawley, assisted by Monika Pfannes.

The play is set in a 1950’s sanatorium, and Shea comments in the show’s program, “A trusting soul who tries to believe the best of people. Although I’ve spent a good amount of my life not only chasing my own foolish dreams, I enjoy helping others chase theirs.”
