The cross country season will come to a head this weekend as both Beaverton and Gladwin will compete in regionals for a chance to advance to the state meet.
WEST BRANCH
Two years ago, the Gladwin boys’ cross country team won a regional championship and placed fifth at the Division 2 state meet.
Last year, the Flying G’s won another regional crown and ran eighth at the state meet.
This year’s regional is Saturday at Benzie Central and the runners all know what’s at stake.
The top three teams go to the state meet and individual berths are also up for grabs.
