The spectacular new mural painted on the wall of the American Legion Post 171 building was celebrated with a program Sunday. Among the guests were (inset) artist Lynn Morgan and Angie Morthland, who appeared in costume as a member of the American Rosie the Riveter Association.

Gladwin American Legion Post 171 officially celebrated the new mural on the north side of its building at 128 N. Silverleaf with a ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
“It was a fantastic day,” said Post 171 Commander Jim Volant. “We have a great mural on the side of our building, we had a nice turnout and we were able to put on a very interesting program.”
