MDHHS commemorates 60th anniversary of Medicaid

LANSING

For 60 years, millions of Michigan residents have been able to access medical care and lead healthier lives thanks to the creation of Medicaid. Signed into law 60 years ago by President Lyndon B. Johnson on July 30, 1965, the program provides health insurance to low-income seniors, children and people with disabilities.
