Randolph “Randy” J. Ivey
Randolph “Randy” J. Ivey, age 81, of Beaverton, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1944, the son of Walter and Electa “Letty” (Wells) Ivey, in Pinconning. Randy was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served from 1962-1966. Following his service, he went on to work for Boilermakers Local 169 in Detroit. On September 28, 1968, Randy married the love of his life, Carol Fischer, and together they shared many years of love and cherished memories.
Randy was an outdoorsman, often spending his free time hunting, gardening, and bird watching. He took pride in his lawn and enjoyed spending the time mowing it throughout the warmer months. He was fond of camping and loved riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; children: Tammy Ivey and Scott (Jennifer) Ivey; grandchild, Victoria Ivey (Zach Campbell); brothers: John (Angie) Ivey and George (Candy) Ivey; sister, Annie Ivey and her friend Charlie Brink; sisters-in-law, Sally Cameron, Mary Richmond, Barb (Ken) Uhl; along with his buddy and best friend, Jana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lettie; son, Eric James Ivey; siblings: Walter Jr. Ivey and his wife, Shirley; and Diane Shukait; and brothers-in-law: Doug Cameron, Ralph Richmond, and Melvin Fischer.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Tobacco Township Cemetery in Beaverton.
