The Gladwin County River Race of Two Cities had a sparkling debut over Memorial Day weekend but, as this photo would attest, that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few jam-ups at the start of the races.

The Gladwin County River Race of Two Cities made its debut over Memorial Day weekend to positive reviews.
A total of 39 total participants took on the 12.5 mile stretch of the Cedar River from Gladwin City Park to Ross Lake Park, 23 solo racers and 8 tandem teams, and the community turned out to support them.
