A fire destroyed a home in Butman Township on March 13. Butman Township Fire Department was assisted by Gladwin Rural Urban Fire Department, Clement Township Fire & Rescue, and Secord Township Fire & Rescue. The fire started in the garage and is under investigation with no foul play suspected.

The Kids’ Club meets on Tuesdays after school at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
The members of the club range in age from preschool-junior high. When they arrive, they are met by volunteer adults and Pastor Emily Olsen-Brandt and they get there either via a ride from their parents or Dial-A Ride straight from school.
