VA now working with community coalitions to end veteran suicide

WASHINGTON The Department of Veterans Affairs announced it is now working with more than 1,000 local community coalitions engaged in ending Veteran suicide. These coalitions, established through VA’s Public Health Model for Suicide Prevention, now reach more than 7.5 million Veterans nationwide.

While the proposed 2024 Department of Veterans Affairs budget increase of 5 percent sounds good, it’s actually the lowest hike they’ve seen in nearly 10 years. The president claims that there is a “sacred obligation” to support veterans and that $325 billion will do just that.

100 years of well drilling

GLADWIN COUNTY The Raymond family has been well drilling in Gladwin County for several decades. Beginning with their grandfather in 1923, the family well drilling business has now included four generations of well drillers in the past century.
