Honor flights offer long-delayed welcome home to veterans

FLINT In the main lobby of Bishop International Airport, cheering crowds waving American flags recently gathered to give a warm welcome to 77 veterans as they returned home from a tour of the nation’s capital.
On Tuesday, August 15, was Beaverton Pickleball t-shirt day with 21 players taking part in the event at the Beaverton Activity Center (BAC). The BAC has three indoor courts allowing 12 people to play at one time. Play takes place Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
