CTE Expansion: A bright future for career-focused education

CLARE Construction is set to begin on a state-of-the-art Clare-Gladwin Career and Technical Education (CTE) building, courtesy of a generous $15 million grant from the State of Michigan’s Labor and Economic Opportunity Department.

David Poxon generously funded the purchase of a new portable defibrillator for the Knights of Columbus as a memorial to his deceased wife, Janet Poxon. Matt Fruchey, an Emergency Medical Technician working for MyMichigan, demonstrated the unit to 20 Knights of Columbus members. “Thanks to David Poxon and Matt Fruchey for making us safer,” said Cooper.

MIDLAND Members First Credit Union (M1) is accepting applications for its 2024 Scholarship program from now until February 29, 2024. During this time, qualified applicants are invited to submit their applications for the chance to be awarded one of four $2,500 scholarships.
