Friday was Hall of Fame Night at Gladwin High School and the past, present and future were on display. The girls’ basketball team treated the big crowd to a big win over Standish. At halftime, the fifth grade boys’ basketball team squared off for a scrimmage that brought more than a few cheers.

BEAVERTON HALL OF FAME TO INDUCT THREE GRADUATES

The Beaverton Hall of Fame will induct three new members tomorrow night in between the junior varsity and varsity boys’ basketball games against Shepherd. The honorees are 2003 graduate Peter Maxwell and 2008 grads Ryan Longstreth and Jake Oard. The jay-vee game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.

LANSINGThe Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) is reporting a case of bovine tuberculosis (TB) in a beef herd from Alcona County, located in Michigan’s Modified Accredited Zone (MAZ). It was detected during the herd’s regular annual whole herd surveillance test.
