Blaze destroys home in Butman Township

A fire destroyed a home in Butman Township on March 13. Butman Township Fire Department was assisted by Gladwin Rural Urban Fire Department, Clem ent Township Fire & Rescue, and Secord Township Fire & Rescue. The fire start ed in the garage and is under investigation with no foul play suspected.

My dog has cancer. What next?

DEAR PAW’S CORNER: My Golden Retriever, “Jasmine,” was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. I’m devastated. She seemed to tire easily, so I took her to the vet for a checkup, where they said her lymph nodes were enlarged. They did a biopsy to confirm that it was cancer. My question is, what now?
