DEAR PAW’S CORNER: I’ve been struggling to find an apartment that will accept pets. I have a parakeet named “Bert” and a big mutt of a dog named “Georgie,” and while some landlords are OK with a bird, they all draw the line at dogs. My current lease is not being renewed, and I only have a few weeks left to find a place. Why do so many landlords not allow pets? I’m so frustrated. -- Cary in Waltham…
