AP – Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday (March 12) at 2 a.m. Credit for Daylight Saving Time belongs to Benjamin Franklin, who first suggested the idea in 1784. The idea was revived in 1907, when William Willett, an Englishman, proposed a similar system in the pamphlet The Waste of Daylight.

Monday’s meeting of the Gladwin City Council was brief, though touched on some interesting points for the city. Firstly, county commissioners Ron Taylor and Rick Grove were present at the meeting and brought attention to discussions at the last commission meeting.

PACT ACT could help eligible veterans

GLADWIN Military veterans across all generations who have been impacted by toxic exposures while serving their country could now be eligible for federal health care and other benefits under the historic PACT Act.
