Gladwin’s Marc Jarstfer will be the head coach of the West squad Saturday at the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association All-Star Game. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Lawrence Tech University in Southfield.

GLADWINDespite losing two Jack Pine Conference dual meets and finishing third at the Conference Meet, the Gladwin boys’ track team put together a memorable season.The Flying G’s sent a strong pack of qualifiers to the MHSAA Finals and had two athletes bring back All-State honors.

GLADWINAfter 36 years as the head coach of the Gladwin girls’ track team, Kernie Gilliam thought about retiring.He changed his mind. Same thing after 37 years and 38 and 39.And 40. This year was going to be No. 41 and Gilliam made up his mind that it would be the last.
