GLADWINGladwin’s football coaches and players were back on the field last week, hosting over 80 future Flying G’s at the Tim Foor Youth Football Character FUNdamentals Camp.The annual event ran Monday-Wednesday and, for the first time, was named in honor of Foor, who passed away in December.

LINWOODThe Linwood Post 239 Class AA American Legion baseball team placed second at the 12-team Saginaw Valley State University Classic this past weekend.Earlier in the week, Post 239 took two games from Mt. Pleasant Post 110 at at Bay City Western High School.

GLADWINThe Jack Pine Conference included girls’ soccer for the first time ever this spring and Gladwin was the second-best team.Standish put a senior-dominated team on the field and won the JPC title with a record of 13-1.The Flying G’s went 8-4-2 and earned second place.
