FREELANDThe Jack Pine Conference volleyball season opens for Gladwin when Farwell visits tonight and the Flying G’s should be ready for anything.“Our record is 2-8 heading into it, but we know playing harder teams is what we need to hit the conference in stride,” said Gladwin coach Tony Wetmore.

GLADWINThe Gladwin Freshman volleyball team traveled to Beal City Wednesday night.The Flying G’s got off to a slow start, but managed to make a good comeback before losing the first set 25-17.Gladwin had a slight lead throughout most of the second set, but the Aggies fought back to win it 27-25.
