BEAVERTON Afresh new season tipped off for the Beaverton girls’ basketball team on Dec. 5 and the fresh faces in the lineup led the way to a 37-27 victory over visiting Coleman. “Our freshmen took care of us,” said Beavers coach Jason Hubble.

Gladwin wrestlers pin down victories to open the season

EVART Two big wins at a tri-meet in Evart on Thursday got the Gladwin wrestling team’s season off to a hot start. Roscommon won a district title last year and was first up for the Flying G’s. Two straight pins put the Bucks ahead 12-0, but Gladwin took charge from that point on and won 60-18.
