Farmers Market to open Holiday Market

GLADWIN The Gladwin Farmers Market will be having its Holiday Market on Saturday, November 26 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Farmers Market pavilion located on 200 North State Street. There will be a variety of vendors, hot chocolate or cider.

New CoDA venue established in Midland

MIDLAND The Midland Chapter of CoDependents Anonymous (CoDA) have recently changed their venue for weekly meetings. These meetings will now be held at the New Life Vineyard Church, 1014 E. Ashman St. in Midland. Meetings will be held on Sundays 6-7:30 p.m.

GLADWIN COUNTY The Gladwin County Council on Aging (CoA) is asking for help in lighting the spark of Christmas joy for homebound seniors. This year marks the sixth annual Christmas Comfort for Seniors program. The program collects donated items for homebound seniors in Gladwin County.

BEAVERTON he Edenville Seventh- TDay Adventist Church will be hosting a Supper Club on Thursday, November 17 at the Beaverton Activity Center. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will feature a holiday meal, prizes, recipes, free handouts, and cooking tips.

Back 40 buck pole event to return on Nov. 19

GLADWIN The Back 40 Taxidermy is bringing back its Hangin’ on Cedar Buck Pole event to Gladwin on Saturday, November 19. Previously held on Antler Street, the event will now be held at Piper’s Pub. The buck pole will take place from 6-9 p.m., and all bucks must hang until 9 p.m.

GLADWIN COUNTY Recently, Kevin Brott and Lynn Skocelas, both Gladwin County Chapter members of the Michigan Association of School Personnel (MARSP), distributed close to 300 full-size candy bars with MARSP promotional labels to Gladwin Community School and Beaverton School District employees.

GLADWIN The free Second Saturday Supper Thanksgiving Day Special will be held Saturday, November 12 at the New Beginnings United Methodist Church located at 309 S. M-18, Gladwin, across from Loose Motor Sales (the old Ford Dealership). This will be a take-out only meal.
