Delta College welcomes Dr. Michelle Allmendinger as its next president

UNIVERSITY CENTERAllmendinger’s selection as Delta’s sixth president is the culmination of a national search initiated in December 2025 to identify a replacement for Dr. Mike Gavin. She began the role on June 29.“It is an honor to be the next leader of Delta College,” said Allmendinger.

Fish and Shrimp Dinner Fundraiser

GLADWINThe Knights of Columbus of Gladwin will present a Fish and Shrimp Dinner Fundraiser to help raise funds for the Backpack Buddies Weekend Food Program on Friday, July 10, 4-7 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 751 M-18 in Gladwin.

COMMUNITY SUPPER

Eagle Ridge Church of God, located at 3987 S. M-18 in Beaverton, will have Community Supper every second Monday of the month from 5:30-7 p.m. This free catered meal will have live music. Everyone is invited, no RSVP needed, so bring a friend. No takeout is available.

Food distribution slated for July 18

GLADWIN COUNTYThe Gladwin/Beaverton Community Food Distribution (GBCFD) will be hosting it’s next distribution on July 18, 2026 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 S. M-18, Gladwin.Address verification will be required for all food recipients. The handing out of food, will begin about 10 a.m.
