The hummingbirds are back! Over the past couple weeks, Rubythroated Hummingbirds arrived in Michigan, completing a journey of several thousand miles that started months ago in Central and South America.

On Saturday, May 30, a few Scouts from Troop 779 will be in Family Fare parking lot with a truck and trailer for a returnables collection spot to help four prospective Eagle Scouts earn the money they need to complete their service projects this year.

City of Beaverton to celebrate Memorial Day

BEAVERTONPlans are now in place for the 2026 Memorial Day commemoration on Monday, May 25. As usual, there will be a parade in Beaverton. Lineup is at 1:30 p.m. at the municipal parking lot near the Community Center.

GLADWINThe Memorial Day Parade will assemble at 10 a.m. at the corner of East Cedar (M-61) and South State Street. The parade will march to the courthouse, leaving the assembly area at approximately 10:35 a.m.The program at the courthouse will begin at 11 a.m.
