The Michigan Dept. of Natural Resources announced in a press release on Monday evening that it is recommending removal of Trout Lake Dam in northern Gladwin county.
The DNR is responsible for over 200 dams statewide, many of which are declining in condition and need maintenance.
Trout Lake Dam is considered to be in that category.
