Thunder on the Strip breaks records at event

The first Thunder on the Strip event of the year took place on Saturday, May 18 at the Zettel Memorial Airport. Racing began at 11 a.m. and had a variety of vehicles compete. This event also had several records broken at it.

Gladwin Memorial Day parade and program May 27

Although many consider Memorial Day the official beginning of summer, the day is set aside for remembrance of the service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice by being killed in action while serving in the United States armed forces.

Vehicle accident on Chappel Dam Road

Early in the morning on Sunday, May 12, at around 12:30 a.m., a vehicle hit into an electric pole on Chappel Dam Road. No press release or further information was provided about the incident at the time of print.

Annual Family Fun Fair June 1

GLADWIN COUNTYThe 14th Annual Family Fun Fair, sponsored by Gladwin Church of the Nazarene, 560 W. M-61 Gladwin, will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A Northern Tradition raises over $75,000

HARRISONOver 550 people attended the 20th annual A Northern Tradition, Mid Michigan College’s annual fundraiser, which took place recently at Jay’s Sporting Goods in Clare. The event raised over $75,000 to support the College’s services to students and the community.
