Gladwin and Beaverton celebrate Memorial Day

GLADWINOn Monday, May 27, both Gladwin and Beaverton communities celebrated Memorial Day. Earlier in the day, Gladwin County American Legion Post 171 and the Gladwin County Office of Veterans Affairs provided a Memorial Day parade and program in downtown Gladwin.

MMDC awards Gladwin business and Beaverton community member

The Middle Michigan Development Corporation (MMDC) held their annual meeting in Mt. Pleasant on May 21. At the meeting, the Gladwin Small Business Award and Mike Finney Innovation Award were presented.

Gladwin and Beaverton City Councils hold regular meetings

GLADWINOn Monday, May 21, both Gladwin and Beaverton City Councils held regularly scheduled meetings. New business discussed at the Gladwin City Council meeting included the second reading of the 2024-2025 budget.

GLADWIN COUNTYIs your child’s car seat properly installed? You can get it checked at a MyMichigan Health free car seat safety check in partnership with the Beaverton and Gladwin Fire Departments. The events are free and include car seat safety checks and assistance in installing car seats.
