I think all of us at one time or another have considered the idea of becoming a minister, priest, nun, or lay minister in our church. I know that I considered it as did many of my family members and friends. We held all people in great esteem who had a religious vocation.

Benefit fundraiser for Shawna Meyers

On Saturday, March 16, at 2 p.m. there will be a silent auction and bowling benefit for Shawna Meyers at the Beaverton Bowl & Lounge, 3325 S. M-18.Shawna is a mother of four children and was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Second Saturday Supper March 9

GLADWINThe Free Second Saturday Supper will be held Saturday, March 9 at the New Beginnings Methodist Church, located at 309 S.M-18, Gladwin, across from Loose Motor Sales. Look for the three large crosses at the entrance. This will be a takeout only meal.

Name the cabins contest ongoing

GLADWINThe City of Gladwin has asked for the community’s help in naming four cabins in the Gladwin City Park. Call Gladwin City Hall at 989-426-9231 and give your name, phone number, and cabin name suggestions.Suggestions need to be given to City Hall by April 1.

Charitable gaming area training slated
