2024 Michigan 4-H State Award winners announced

LANSINGThe Michigan 4-H State Awards Program recognized outstanding 4-H members following the opening session of 4-H Exploration Days on June 19. Hosted by Michigan State University Extension, the celebration took place at the Munn Ice Arena on the campus of MSU.

GAFT production of Oklahoma! a success

The Gladwin Area Friends of the Theater (GAFT) presented Rodgers and Hammerstien’s musical, Oklahoma!, from July 18 to July 20 at the Gladwin High School Cafetorium. Director Amy Bushey said, “it’s always sad when a show comes to an end.

Summer Art Kids Camp Aug. 5-9

Gladwin Artist’s Guild is excited to once again offer a weeklong art camp for kids ages 6-11 at the Gladwin County District Library.Kids will become “Art Explorers” and enjoy creating all sorts of fun projects. From painting to clay and from making bugs to monster pencil toppers.

GCDL hosting Summer Arts and Kids Conservation Camp

The Gladwin County District Library (GCDL) will be hosting two summer kids camps at the Gladwin Branch Library. The first camp will be presented by the Gladwin Area Artist Guild with its Summer Art Camp.
