Information on the Gladwin Community Schools Operating Millage proposal

GLADWINGladwin Community Schools has an Operating Millage proposal in the upcoming August 6 election. Operational Millages provide the current $9,608 per pupil funding for school yearly budgets, 25 percent of which is from an 18-mill tax on second homes and businesses.

Pearl the whale gets a new home at the Midland Mall

GLADWINPearl the whale, got her new home in the Midland Mall, hanging over the new toddler play area.The Gladwin High School Art Program donated Pearl to the VBS program. However, the VBS program no longer needed Pearl.

Gladwin volunteers complete exceptional pledge of support

GLADWINThe volunteers at MyMichigan Medical Center Gladwin recently completed a pledge to the MyMichigan Health Foundation in support of a variety of projects to help with patient comfort, equipment, services and technology. The pledge of support for the 2023-2024 year ended with a total of $11,945.

Food Distribution at Christ the King Aug. 17

GLADWINThere was another successful Gladwin/ Beaverton Community Food Distribution (GBCFD) in the parking lot of Christ the King Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Over 21,000 pounds of food from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan was passed out to 244 households, serving 601 individuals.

Gladwin County Veteran’s Affairs receives donation
