Gladwin Junior High School (GJHS) hosted an all A luncheon for the students that earned all A’s for the third marking period. The staff at the junior high would like to thank the Cedar Haus for providing the wings and fries.

Artists make bowls to fight hunger

GLADWINGladwin High School Visual Arts teacher Amber Billman hosted a gathering of 40 local artists at the school last Wednesday to make a clay bowl.Participants ranged in age from 6-over 80 and each created a hand-built masterpiece that will be glazed at the school’s next “Makers’ Night” in April.

HARRISONThe 22nd annual A Northern Tradition, a fundraiser for Mid Michigan College sponsored by Jay’s Sporting Goods, will take place 5-8 p.m., Sunday, April 13 in Clare. Over the past 20 years, this cherished event has raised more than $1.7 million to benefit students at Mid Michigan College.

Harrison graduate and two-year CTE Welding Technology student Landon Sharp turned that experience into a promising career in the automotive field.
