LANSINGOver 1,000 cyclists from Michigan and across the country begin the epic annual ride Wednesday, August 28, from East Lansing ending in Mackinaw City over Labor Day weekend. The event is sponsored by the Tri-County Bicycle Association of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties.

GLADWINThe 30th Annual Bernard Barnes Memorial Invitational Baseball Tournament was held June 14-16 at Wilmot Field. The Gladwin Lightning Post 171 team hosted Mt. Pleasant Post 110 AA and A teams, along with the Millington Post 164 A team, and the Soo Canada Black Sox.

Gladwin holds annual basketball/volleyball camps

The annual volleyball/basketball camps were held in Gladwin. They had 67 girls, grades first through ninth, working on skills in both sports. Nic Taratuda ran the basketball camp. Tony Wetmore and Jane Wetmore ran the volleyball camp.
