Now that’s more like it. After losing twice by just one point in the first four weeks of the season, the Beaverton football team turned the tables Friday night and rallied to beat visiting St. Louis 30-29.“It was a very exciting night,” said Beaverton coach Aaron Seiser.

On October 2, in the evening, Jordan Goodwin, age 13, got an 8-point deer at his grandpa’s property in Sage Township. This was Jordan’s first bow hunt by himself.Layne Schaudt, age 10, got his first buck with a bow in Gladwin County on October 6. The buck is an 8-point with a 14.5 inch spread.

GLADWINGladwin senior Elijah Christensen has set and then broken his own school record so far this season, but one goal kept eluding the Flying G’s top cross country runner.Winning a race. That all changed Saturday when Christensen finished first in a time of 16:15.

Annual Al Crawford bowling fundraiser
