DEAR DR. ROACH:I was wondering whether Ozempic might be prescribed for somebody who gained weight due to antipsychotics or drugs for depression. I read some years ago that the weight gain associated with antipsychotics had something to do with blood sugar levels (or some other metabolic reason).

GLADWINAfter a lump-of-coal kind of loss to Ogemaw Heights last Tuesday night, the Gladwin girls’ basketball team headed into the Christmas break with a comefrom- behind 45-42 victory over Houghton Lake on Thursday that was nothing but baubles, bangles and beads.

BEAVERTONOn a Monday when school was cancelled due to bad weather, the Gladwin boys’ basketball team protected Butch from the elements and kept him off the roads with a 63-36 victory over rival Beaverton.

GLADWINThe Jack Pine Conference dual meet season got underway Wednesday night and the Gladwin wrestling team was ready to pounce, knocking off Standish and Shepherd.
