GLADWINDo you have kids who may be interested in learning the sport of golf? You might think about sending them to a Youth Summer Golf program for kids ages 7-14 years old. The Gladwin Heights Golf Course and Big Boys Club of Gladwin County will once again sponsor Youth Summer Golf.

LOUISThe Gladwin Junior High boys’ track team capped off a dominant season in the Jack Pine Conference last Tuesday by winning the conference meet championship.The Flying G’s were first with 133 points, pulling out a hard-fought, back-and-forth battle with Shepherd, which placed second with 110.

BEAVERTONAfter a rough start, last week turned into a good one for the Beaverton baseball team.The Beavers were swept 15-0 and 10-0 by Jack Pine Conference heavyweight Standish on Monday, but bounced back to win three of their next four games.The fun began Tuesday at Bullock Creek.

CADILLACThe final four will represent the Gladwin boys’ track team at the Division 2 state meet on May 30 in the wake of Friday’s regional at Cadillac.Myles Robinson won the gold medal in the 400 meters in a time of 50.36 to lead the way.Colton Pfenninger was second in the 110 hurdles in 16.
