GJHS boys track place at Ithaca Relays

GLADWINThe Gladwin Junior High School boys track team ran at the Ithaca Relays on Thursday, May 1, against 13 schools. The competition was tough and the boys managed to come away with a fifth place finish. Medals were awarded out to fourth place and every event was a relay.
Jonah Griffiths and Ivan Christensen (both 7th graders) have been solid members of the distance squad on the team.

GLADWINOn Tuesday, April 29, the Gladwin Junior High School Flying G’s Boys Track team hosted Bullock Creek and Surline (West Branch) in a Jack Pine Conference (JPC) meet. The team performed well and finished with multiple Personal bests and first place finishers.

WEST BRANCHGladwin senior Abby Robinson opened the season by setting the school record in the 800-meter run.Last Wednesday, she went half the distance to set another school record by winning the 400 in a time of 59.33. The previous mark of 1:00.1 was set in 1988.

BEAVERTONOn April 24 the first half winning team, We Don’t Care, had the Championship roll off against the second half team winners, Knuckles Deep, for the end of the season of the Beaverton Men’s Wednesday Night Bowling League. Both teams bowled three games against each other.
