REMUS Beaverton’s wrestling squad traveled to Remus on Wednesday, February 15, to continue their playoff push, having claimed the district title a week prior. The Beavers faced off against fellow Jack Pine foe, Clare Pioneers. Beaverton’s night ended early, losing Clare in the first round.

GLADWIN Atale of two halves. The Gladwin Flying G’s varsity boys basketball team kept pace with the visiting Essexville Garber Dukes in the first two quarters of last Wednesday’s game but collapsed in the final half, in a battle of two 10-6 teams. The final score was Essexville 61, Gladwin 35.
