BEAVERTON Beaverton Junior/ Senior High School played host to the Jack Pine Conference Finals this past Saturday. Among the seven participating Jack Pine teams, Beaverton tied with Gladwin placing second with 5.5 points. Clare took first place with seven points.

Beaverton boys basketball continues to find ways to win

BEAVERTON Add another win to the Beaverton Beavers basketball season, the varsity boys were victorious over the Saginaw Valley Lutheran Chargers on January 24 by a score of 57-43. The Beavers have been as hot as any team as of late, now winning five games over the course of their last six contests.

Lady G’s lose to conference leading Meridian Mustangs

GLADWIN The varsity Lady G’s of Gladwin played basketball this past Thursday, hosting the Meridian Mustangs for Gladwin’s first of two games honoring Coaches vs. Cancer. Gladwin fell to Meridian in defeat 31-58.

CLARE No matter the falling snow nor the messy streets, wrestling was still in session last Wednesday. Beaverton traveled to Clare to faceoff with the Pioneers of Clare and the Eagles of Farwell in conference duels.

Beaverton girls basketball suffers defeat against both Valley Lutheran and Farwell

BEAVERTON Beaverton girls basketball hosted two games last week, the first against Valley Lutheran of Saginaw and the second against Jack Pine Conference rivals the Farwell Eagles. The Beavers played with immense effort in both games; however, they fell short of victory to both opponents.
