ANCHORAGE, ALASKA (AP) Ryan Redington on Tuesday won the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, bringing his six dogs off the Bering Sea ice to the finish line on Nome’s main street. Redington, 40, is the grandson of Joe Redington Sr.

Flying G’s boys basketball season over after tough loss to Standish-Sterling

WEST BRANCH The Flying G’s boys varsity basketball season came to a close last Wednesday night. The boys traveled to Ogemaw Heights High School, meeting up with the Standish-Sterling Panthers in a 57-33 loss. The Flying G’s kicked off the action, breaking the scoreboard first.
