Beaverton 8U Girl’s took second place in the Beaverton Tournament this past weekend after losing to a very tough Bullock Creek team. The girls played their best and we are very proud. GRAND RAPIDS Beaverton and Gladwin baseball stars Lucas Mead, Connor Dee, and Landon Love where in action last week. They joined other players from around the Bay Area to play American Legion baseball, forming a team in Linwood.

Cornhole Tourney takes place July 2

BEAVERTON The sixth Annual Beaverton Cornhole Tournament will take place on July 2, at Beaverton Bowl & Lounge. Age 21 plus for all players and spectators. Limited to the first 64 teams. Registrations will be as received. No exceptions and no “holding of spots”.

MIDLAND For the second consecutive year, Northwood Esports has won the Collegiate Call of Duty National Championship. “This is such a great achievement for Northwood Esports,” stated Coach Cody Elsen, who directs Northwood University’s Esports program.

Lucas Mead shattered not one but three school records in baseball this year. Mead broke his own record for most hits, set in 2021. Mead recorded 70 hits this season, breaking the record by over 15 hits.

KINGSLEY The Gladwin Flying G boys baseball season ended last Wednesday night after traveling to Kingsley to kick off the Regional Playoffs. The loss came after a blown lead in the game’s fifth inning, falling to the Bay City John Glenn Bobcats 6-3.
