Beavers open soccer season with 2-2 tie

Two years ago, Beaverton fielded a varsity girls’ soccer team for the first time and a freshman-dominated lineup did not win a game.
Many of those players are back this spring as juniors and the improvement is obvious.
“We’ve come a long way from where we were when we started,” said Beavers coach Steve Carland. “We’re definitely seeing the field better and putting passes together.
