Michael D. Moore

Michael D. Moore, age 73, of Milledgeville, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026 at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford.

Michael was born March 3, 1952 in Gladwin, MI, the son of James and Florence (Stewart) Moore. He married Judith Garber on Dec. 17, 2000 in Michigan.

Michael was employed as a produce manager and meat cutter. He was an outgoing “people person” and was professional in all he did. He attended the Milledgeville Brethren Church.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Moore of Milledgeville; his daughter, Cristy Moore of Detroit, MI; his son, Jesse Moore of Detroit, MI; his brother, Robert (Jane) Moore of Essexville, MI; two step sons: Jason Kovach and Marc Kovach; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Peggy and Carol.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb.

21, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Milledgeville Brethren Church with Pastor Jim Black officiating. A luncheon will be served, 12 p.m., at the church before the service starts.

A memorial has been established to the Milledgeville Fire Department.
