Gail Ann Villeneuve
A life remembered for compassion, intellect, service, and devotion to family, Gail Ann Villeneuve, age 91, of Gladwin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026.
Born on July 22, 1935, in Gladwin, Michigan, Gail was the daughter of Leo and Irene (Bryant) Villeneuve.
Raised in the community she loved, she developed a lifelong appreciation for hard work, learning, and family.
Gail graduated from Bay City Mercy School of Nursing and devoted her career to caring for others as a Registered Nurse residing in Rochester Hills. As a specialized surgical ENT nurse, she brought skill, compassion, and professionalism to her work, serving countless patients throughout many years of dedicated practice.
Nursing was more than a profession to Gail; it was a calling and a reflection of her dedication and her caring spirit.
A woman of intelligence and curiosity, Gail was an avid reader who enjoyed learning and studying throughout her life. She loved to travel, explore new places, and experience new adventures. She was also an enthusiastic tennis player and enjoyed the friendships, competition, and active lifestyle the sport provided.
No matter where life took her, some of Gail’s fondest memories remained connected to the family farm where she grew up. It was a place she loved to visit and one that held a lifetime of cherished memories.
Above all, Gail treasured her family. She valued the time spent with loved ones and took great pride in maintaining close connections with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Gail is lovingly remembered by her brother, Joseph Villeneuve; her sister, Yvonne (Donald) Lederle; and her nieces and nephews: Michelle, Christina (Christopher), Joseph, Nicole, Andrea, Julia, John (Jennifer), Todd (Misty), Shawn (Lori), Heather (Joseph), Tim (Carrie), and Lisa (Joseph); along with many great-nieces, greatnephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Irene Villeneuve; and her sisters: Lorraine Bush, Jeannine Seipke, and Charmaine Kennedy.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place, and services are being planned for a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home.
