Lois Buben
Lois Buben, age 84, of Midland, formerly of Beaverton, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026.
She was born on July 27, 1942, the daughter of Aaron and Emily (Reinke) Hollingsworth, in Midland.
She married the love of her life, Jerry Buben.
Together, they shared many years filled with love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death in 1999. Lois was a civicminded professional, serving as a secretary in both the local newspaper industry and public school systems.
Beyond her career, she gave selflessly to others as a Girl Scout leader and a devoted philanthropist who supported numerous charities close to her heart. She was always keeping her hands busy, often spending her time knitting, sewing, crafting, quilting, and tending to her garden. Above all, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures – a cup of coffee and the company of others.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Thaylin) Burns; grandchildren: Kira Parrish and Tallulah Burns; and sister, Sandra (David) Bates.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services was held on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, 11 a.m., at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Beaverton.
Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. She was laid to rest at Dale Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home. www. hallkokotovichfuneralhome. com.
