GLADWIN On June 24, at 6 a.m., the 204 mile Coast to Coast Gravel Grinder bicycle race that goes from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan began. Starting their day in Au Gres, MI on the shore of Lake Huron, riders rode for over 15 hours to reach the finish line in Ludington, MI.

More all-terrain wheelchairs added to Michigan State Parks

LANSING Three more Michigan state parks will receive all-terrain wheelchairs this summer to make parks more accessible. They include Wilderness State Park in Emmet County, Warren Dunes in Berrien County and North Higgins Lake in Crawford County.
Gladwin County 4-H’ers set up barns at the fairgrounds June 24-25 in preparation for the fair July 8-16. Carnival rides go from July 11-15. The parade is on July 9, 5 p.m, going through Gladwin.
