GLADWINThe Gladwin Kiwanis Club will continue the tradition of selling roses to coincide with Sweetest Day, a day to recognize the special folks in your life: wives, mothers, sweethearts, secretaries, co-workers, etc. Sweetest Day this year is Saturday, October 19.

On Friday, September 20, volunteers met at the Gladwin City Park to plant 20 trees around Gladwin that were awarded from ReLeaf Michigan. ReLeaf Michigan Project Foresters Kate Tuttle and Marvin Pettway did a tree planting demonstration for the volunteer group.

GLADWIN COUNTYThe Council on Aging Gladwin County is asking for a .25 mill increase in addition to their .75 mill renewal millage that was passed on August 6. This increase will allow Council on Aging to keep up with population growth and cost of living increases.

The Gladwin Firefighter Association hosted their 27th annual golf outing on August 25. This was our biggest outing so far with 28 teams and 131 golfers.This outing could not be possible without many people and businesses who support us.
