SNHU announces Summer 2024 President’s List

It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the Summer 2024 President’s List. The summer terms run from May to August.Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.

Versiti blood drive scheduled for Oct. 3

Gladwin Homecoming Parade slated for Oct. 4

The Gladwin Community School’s Homecoming Parade will go through Gladwin at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 4.The parade will start at the Gladwin High School, go to N. Bowery Ave., head down W. 1st St., go down N. Antler St., then Cedar Ave., and turn back down N. Bowery Ave., ending on W. 1st St.

Gospel music/dinner slated for October 13

There will be a free Gospel Music/Dinner event on Sunday, October 13 at the Wagarville Community Christian Church, 2478 Wagarville Road, Gladwin.The chicken dinner will be at 3 p.m. and the concert, featuring Key of Mercy, with Frank Hutchinson, will be at 4:30 p.m.

Annual Al Crawford bowling fundraiser

The annual Al Crawford bowling fundraiser is slated for October 27. Registration will be at 1 p.m. and bowling will begin at 2 p.m. Teams will consist of two people.To sign up call Meadow Lanes at 989-426-7671.

Domestic Violence Awareness Rally

Shelterhouse will be hosting a Domestic Violence Awareness Rally at Gladwin City Park, 240 City Park St., on Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brick Pavilion.

POST 171 MURAL PROJECT CONTEST

The Gladwin County American Legion Post 171 is sponsoring a contest to select the best image to paint on the north wall of our post. The contest will be open to all residents of Gladwin County.

Beaverton Homecoming Parade goes through town

BEAVERTONOn Friday, September 20 at 5 p.m., the Beaverton Homecoming Parade went through downtown Beaverton. The theme for the parade was Hollywood Movies.
