GLADWIN COUNTYThe Gladwin/Beaverton Community Food Distribution (GBCFD) will be hosting it’s next distribution on June 20, 2026 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 S.M-18, Gladwin.Address verification will be required for all food recipients. The handing out of food, will begin about 10 a.m.

GLADWINThe Gladwin-based Yetti Old World Cuisine food truck brought home two awards from the recent Novi BBQ Festival.The four-day event was held in the parking lot at Twelve Oaks Mall and attracted an array of competitors that included the Carolina Rib King from Spartanburg, South Carolina.

LANSINGAnewly released report suggests Michigan’s effort to reduce prison stays has stalled.The Crime and Justice Institute said there was a three percent increase in the prison population between 2021 and 2023, “with more individuals receiving additional sentences while already incarcerated.
