Hawk Invite at White Pine Middle School

SAGINAW COUNTY The Gladwin Intermediate boys cross-country team competed in their first meet of the season at White Pine Middle school. The boys ran a 1600 meter race with a total of 74 boys.

Gladwin Volleyball beats Clare Pioneers on home court

GLADWIN On Wednesday, September 13, Gladwin’s JV and Varsity Volleyball teams stayed on their home court and played the Clare Pioneers. The JV team beat Clare in three sets, the first set ending with a close score of 25-22. The second set was also a close game, with a final score of 25-21.

Gladwin Cross Country competes at MSU

GLADWIN On Friday September 15th the Flying G’s Cross Country (xc) teams traveled to Michigan State University for one of the largest cross country meets in the Midwest. In the Bronze race (D2) the ladies continued their momentum with an 18th place finish out of 30 plus teams.

SAGINAW COUNTY The Gladwin junior high girls finished 7th out of 9 teams at the White Pine middle school invitational in Saginaw on Thursday, September 14.

Beaverton take first Jack Pine game, 1-0

The Beaverton Varsity Volleyball girls traveled down south to Shepherd after winning against Oscoda last week. They took care of things with a first set of 19-25 before finishing out the night with another three games of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-18.

GLADWIN On Friday the Flying G’s Varsity football played a competitive game against Shepherd High School. It was a loud first quarter with the Gladwin boys making two touchdowns and two successful PATs (point after touchdown).

GLADWIN COUNTY The Gladwin junior high girls cross country team competed in their first race of the season on Thursday, August 31 in Birch Run. Gladwin placed sixth out of 10 schools. Coming in 14th place was Vivian O’Callaghan with a time of 15:24.79; 18th place was Olivia Evans with 15:35.
