To the Editor: I’d like to say the Mayor Sarah Kile is doing a wonderful job. She has tried to do things for the people, but every time she tries, she’s voted or voiced down. It seems like the Gladwin City Council is more concerned about how and what they vote for.

Veterans with VA-backed mortgages who are in danger of facing foreclosure just got help from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Christmas has long been a time for kids meetings Santa Claus. This one was taken in the Buckeye Township Hall during the prosperous oil boom years. It was probably taken just after the attack on Pearl Harbor and America’s entry into WWII, but before the reality of what that would mean had really sunk in.
