Help for homeless veterans

Organizations across the country that help homeless veterans are set to share in grants that total $42 million. Each grant, if approved, can be worth as much as $500,000 and will fund them for two years, beginning in October.

BOB FREIGLADWIN COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETYThe second iteration of Gladwin’s Star Theater building began when a crew of 10 men started construction of the new building in the middle of April, 1935. They built the walls and roof around the old building while it remained open and showing films.

PINCONNINGThe Northeast Michigan (NEM) baseball league hosted its 29th Annual Reunion on June 22, 2025, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Cheese House in Pinconning, Michigan.Approximately 120 persons attended this year’s reunion.The NEM baseball league began in 1916 and lasted until 1986.
