GLADWINGladwin hosted the Jack Pine Conference boys’ bowling teams last Wednesday at Meadow Lanes and the Flying G’s rolled to a 22-8 victory over Shepherd.Brayden Phillips had a 220, which was the third-best score of the day. Carter Fairchild had a 202 for the locals.

LANSINGMecosta is now the 14th Michigan county where chronic wasting disease has been identified in the wild deer population, according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. An adult buck harvested in Millbrook Township recently tested positive for the disease.
