MIDLANDAtough loss on opening night led to better things the next time out for the Gladwin basketball team last week.The Flying G’s dropped a rather ragedy 65-61 decision at Meridian on Wednesday, but bounced back with an 84-72 victory at Bullock Creek Friday night.

MANTONThe first weekend wrestling excursion of the season was a blast for Gladwin. The girls’ team placed second on Friday and the boys’ team won it all on Saturday at the Manton Invitational.“It was a wonderful weekend,” said Flying G’s coach Buddy Goldsworthy.
